Elwha Watershed Information Resource

Elwha Research Consortium 2010 Conference

"Creating Thriving Rural and Urban Communities through Ecological Restoration"

The annual Elwha Research Consortium conference will be held in conjunction with the Society for Ecological Restoration and The Wildlife Society in Marysville, WA, February 16-19, 2010. Overview talks from the various Elwha Project research groups will be held on Tuesday (2/16) and 8 other slots are available on Wednesday (2/17) for researchers interested in presenting specific research, education programs, or other activities. We hope to feature a speaker for the Tuesday luncheon as well; stay tuned for details.

ERC members who are presenting will have their registration fees and travel/hotel costs covered. Other ERC members will have their fees, travel, and hotel covered on a space-available basis (first-come, first served; email Dwight for your RSVP). We anticipate, though, that we will be able to support all ERC members who wish to attend--so we strongly support member attendance at this conference to allow everyone to catch up on updates from around the watershed, as well as to mingle with other regional professional societies directly relevant to our own work. (Oh, and the fact that this is the last year for NSF funding, and we won't be able to offer this any longer!) So come one, come all... stay tuned to this or partner websites for more details on the conference, and contact Dwight ASAP to indicate your interest in participating.
