The canoe journeys originally began to happen every 4 years. That thinking is long gone. Not very long after that canoe journeys exploded within the tribes. The canoe journeys event is now happens every year. There is no need to get a babysitter. It is a family event. It is a drug and alcohol-free event. Every year a theme is picked.
